Terms of Service

The terms and conditions governing your use of Beyond Your Finance services.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing our website at beyondyourfinance.com or engaging the services of BYF Consulting LLP ("BYF", "we", "our", "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our website or services.

These Terms of Service apply to all visitors, clients, and others who access or use our services.

2. Services

BYF Consulting LLP provides financial advisory, tax compliance, GST compliance, company registration, bookkeeping, Virtual CFO, and related services to individuals, startups, and businesses in India. The specific scope of services for each engagement is defined in a separate engagement letter or service agreement provided to the client.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any service at any time with reasonable notice. We do not warrant that our services will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Advisory Nature of Services

Information and content on our website, and general communications from BYF, constitute general information and educational content only — not specific legal, tax, or financial advice. Formal professional advice is provided only under a signed engagement agreement and is subject to our professional obligations as a CA firm.

3. Client Obligations

Clients engaging our services agree to:

• Provide accurate, complete, and timely information and documents required for service delivery
• Inform us promptly of any changes to information previously provided
• Respond to our communications within reasonable timeframes
• Not engage us to assist in any illegal, fraudulent, or misleading activity
• Maintain confidentiality of login credentials shared for portals and software
• Pay fees as agreed in the engagement letter

BYF shall not be held responsible for delays, errors, or losses arising from the client's failure to fulfil these obligations.

4. Fees and Payment

Our fees are agreed upon in the engagement letter or proposal shared before commencement of services. Unless otherwise agreed:

• Government fees, statutory dues, and third-party costs are charged at actuals and are separate from our professional fees
• Invoices are payable within 7 days of issue unless otherwise specified
• Late payments may attract interest at 18% per annum from the due date
• We reserve the right to pause service delivery for overdue accounts
• All fees are exclusive of applicable GST unless stated otherwise

5. Confidentiality

Both parties agree to maintain the confidentiality of each other's confidential information shared during the engagement. BYF's obligations of confidentiality are subject to:

• Disclosure required by applicable law or regulatory authority
• Disclosure to our professional advisors or insurers under confidentiality obligations
• Information that is or becomes publicly available through no breach by us

As a registered CA firm, our team members are bound by ICAI's Code of Ethics and professional secrecy obligations, which provide additional protection for client information.

6. Intellectual Property

All content on the beyondyourfinance.com website — including text, graphics, logos, templates, tools, and educational materials — is the intellectual property of BYF Consulting LLP and is protected by Indian copyright law.

Clients are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use deliverables (financial models, reports, templates) created specifically for them under an engagement, solely for their internal business purposes. Resale or redistribution of BYF deliverables is not permitted without written consent.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

• BYF's liability in connection with any engagement shall not exceed the total fees paid by the client for the specific service giving rise to the claim
• BYF shall not be liable for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages
• We are not liable for losses arising from inaccurate information provided by the client, government portal failures, delays by regulatory authorities, or events beyond our reasonable control
• Tax positions and compliance outcomes depend on applicable law, which changes frequently. We are not liable for changes in law that affect outcomes after our advice has been given

8. Termination

Either party may terminate an engagement by providing 30 days' written notice. Upon termination:

• All outstanding fees for work completed become immediately payable
• We will hand over all client documents and data in a reasonable format
• Confidentiality obligations survive termination

We reserve the right to terminate an engagement immediately if the client breaches these terms or engages in conduct that is unethical, illegal, or harmful to our firm's reputation.

9. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any dispute arising from or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New Delhi, India.

We encourage resolution of disputes through good-faith negotiation before initiating legal proceedings.
