Refund Policy

Our fair and transparent policy on refunds and cancellations.

1. Overview

At BYF Consulting LLP, we take pride in delivering high-quality financial and advisory services. We understand that disputes can sometimes arise and have established this Refund Policy to handle such situations fairly and transparently.

This policy applies to all services offered by BYF Consulting LLP through beyondyourfinance.com and direct client engagements. Please read this policy before engaging our services.

2. Eligible Refund Situations

We consider refund requests in the following circumstances:

Service Not Delivered

If BYF is unable to deliver the agreed service due to reasons within our control (and not due to client failure to provide required information or documents), we will offer a full refund of the fees paid for that specific service.

Duplicate Payment

In the event of an accidental duplicate payment, we will refund the duplicate amount in full within 7 working days of the error being identified.

Service Cancellation Before Commencement

If you cancel your engagement before we have commenced work, we will refund:

• 100% of fees if cancelled within 48 hours of payment and before any work has begun
• 50% of fees if cancelled after 48 hours but before significant work has commenced
• No refund if cancellation occurs after substantial work has been completed

Material Service Failure

If a service was materially deficient due to our error (e.g., incorrect filing that we are responsible for), we will first attempt to rectify the error at no additional cost. If rectification is not possible, a partial or full refund may be considered based on the nature and impact of the error.

3. Non-Refundable Situations

Refunds will not be provided in the following circumstances:

• Service completed: Once a service has been completed and delivered (e.g., return filed, registration obtained, report submitted), fees are non-refundable
• Government rejections: If an application is rejected by a government authority for reasons beyond our control (e.g., name not available for trademark, GST officer issues), our professional fees are non-refundable, though we will make every effort to assist with rectification
• Client-caused delays or errors: If service failure or delay is caused by the client's failure to provide accurate information, documents, or timely approvals
• Change of mind: A change of business plans or decision not to proceed after work has commenced
• Annual retainer services: Monthly retainer fees for ongoing services (bookkeeping, Virtual CFO, GST return filing) are non-refundable for completed months
• Government and statutory fees: See Section 6 below

4. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, please contact us with the following details:

• Your full name and contact information
• Service for which refund is requested
• Date of payment and amount paid
• Reason for the refund request
• Any supporting documents or correspondence

Please email your request to hello@beyondyourfinance.com with the subject line "Refund Request — [Your Name]". All refund requests are reviewed within 5 working days.

5. Refund Timeline

Approved refunds are processed as follows:

• Bank transfer (NEFT/IMPS): 5–7 working days from approval
• UPI: 2–3 working days from approval
• Original payment mode (where applicable): 7–10 working days

6. Government & Third-Party Fees

Government fees, statutory dues, stamp duties, and third-party software or service fees paid on your behalf are strictly non-refundable. These include, but are not limited to:

• MCA filing fees for company/LLP registration
• IP India trademark filing fees
• GST portal fees
• Government charges for licences and certificates
• Court and tribunal fees

In the event a government application is rejected, we will advise you on the next steps but the government fee paid cannot be recovered by us or refunded to you.
